Western Nevada College Foundation The Western Nevada College Foundation’s primary purpose is to raise awareness, financial resources, and other assets in support of Western Nevada College.

The WNC Foundation manages an array of resources that are critical to Western Nevada College's success – corporate investments, foundation grants, alumni and employee contributions, and financial and in-kind support from many other friends of the college. These resources allow WNC to meet instructional and institutional needs and continue to offer top-quality, affordable education and training to the Carson Valley region.

🎉 Big things are happening at WNC's Douglas Campus!

What a great turnout today as we celebrated the official kickoff of our $4.4 million Nursing Program expansion in Minden! 🩺

Community leaders, healthcare partners, college leadership and supporters joined us for a ceremonial groundbreaking and a first look at the exciting transformation ahead.

Thanks to a $4.4 million federal grant, we're turning existing campus space into a modern nursing education facility with advanced simulation labs, hands-on clinical training areas and more opportunities for students to pursue nursing careers close to home.

With Nevada facing a critical nursing shortage, this project is about more than a building. It's about investing in our students, strengthening rural healthcare and preparing the next generation of nurses to serve our communities.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us today, including our local media who helped share this exciting milestone! We can't wait to see this space come to life in 2027!

⛳🏆 Congratulations to Team Davison!
Team Davison captured the title at the Western Nevada College Foundation’s 27th annual Golf for Education tournament Friday at Toiyabe Golf Club!
The foursome of Sean Davison, Howard Houghton, Vince Christenson and Connor Morze fired an incredible 29-under-par 43 to claim the championship in a tiebreaker against two other teams.
🥈 Runner-up: The Joe & Darcy team, featuring Darcy Johnson, Joe Spencer, April Hugeria and Brandon Bruzzese.
There also were a couple of other exciting developments in the tournament:
Greg Nauman aced the 160-yard sixth hole and Phil Cowee sank an 80-foot putt to win the Michael Hohl Putting Contest and generously donated his winnings to the WNC Foundation. 👏
A huge THANK YOU to all of our participants, sponsors and volunteers, and to Toiyabe Golf Club for helping make this important fundraising event such a success! Your support helps the WNC Foundation create opportunities for WNC students. 💙⛳

⛳ Participants in the 27th Annual Golf for Education Tournament at Toiyabe Golf Club are taking on the back nine of the tournament presented by WNC Foundation. 🏌️‍♀️
Just prior the sh***un start, Phil Cowee captured the Michael Hohl Putting Contest. Cowee holed an 80-foot sloping downhill putt to fend off a contingent of aggressive putters. Cowee netted half of the entry purse, with the other half being donated to the Foundation.
Players discovered that the first hole was the place to be as President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe took photos with the teams, and the president, Chief HR Officer/Chief of Staff Melody Duley and ASWN President Karla Salas Dominguez encouraged participants to pitch a donut hole into a ring. Michael Brown of Spanish Springs Construction was one of the early players to accomplish the feat.

WNC Foundation's 27th annual Golf for Education tournament on Friday at Toiyabe Golf Club will include a special guest capable of reaching the par 4 holes in one stroke and turning the long par 5s into routine birdie opportunities.
Andrew "Thor" Herbert, a three-time World Long Drive Championship qualifier, has mashed a 415-yard drive in competition and owns a personal best of 482 yards off the tee.
His role on Friday? You guessed it, Thor is going to be in the driver's seat. He'll serve as the driver for participants on the par-5 ninth hole.

Congratulations to WNC Foundation Board Member Maria Denzler on her photography show, "Where Water Meets Sky," last weekend at the Reno Tahoe International Art Show at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center!
WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe attended the show, as well as WNC Foundation Executive Director and Chief Advancement Officer Niki Gladys.

A few foursomes are still available for the WNC Foundation Golf for Education Tournament on Friday, Sept. 25 at Toiyabe Golf Club.
This year's tournament features $35,000 in contest prizes, including two $15,000 Hole-in-One opportunities sponsored by Campagni Auto Group and a $5,000 Marshmallow Drive Challenge.
Golfers will also enjoy a variety of on-course games, contests, raffle prizes, and special activities throughout the day, creating plenty of opportunities for fun and friendly competition.

Our friendship with Dolly Kaur, owner of Flavors of India, began when our WNC Advancement team visited her wonderful restaurant. We were thrilled to return the hospitality by welcoming Dolly to campus for a tour of Western Nevada College! 💙💛
It was wonderful to share more about WNC, introduce Dolly to our campus community and explore ways Flavors of India and WNC can work together to make a difference for our students.
