Thank you to the Carson City Board of Supervisors for selecting Nevada Health Centers as a Community Support Services Grant and Quality of Life funding recipient.

NVHC will use the funds to enhance mobile pediatric dental services, covering exams, cleanings, and fillings for Carson City uninsured or underserved students.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the residents and families of Carson City. Being entrusted with this role is an honor and a responsibility we take to heart. .

On Monday, NVHC's jolly chief human resources officer, bedecked in red and trimmed in fluffy white, spent time with community philanthropist and NVHC supporter John Alam, bringing good cheer to coffee-seeking patrons at Las Vegas Human Bean locations. Memories -- and a few tasty mochas -- were made, and we were happy to support this merry-making moment to bring a bit of good cheer to southern Nevada.

Yerington-based Peri & Sons Farms has been seeding the Silver State’s soil since the late 1970’s, and in addition to growing world-class produce, they invest in programs like the Nevada Health Centers Mammovan, ensuring women throughout Nevada get access to the mammograms they need to stay healthy.

Thanks to Peri & Sons' recent donation, the Mammovan will continue to be on the move in Nevada, traveling our highways and byways to bring screening and education to those in need.

🕷️🪥 “Spider-Man goes first!”

Andrew began wailing the moment he stepped onto the dental bus 🚌—his very first visit to the dentist. 😢 Dad shared that when Andrew gets scared, he holds onto his special edition Spider-Man doll for comfort. 🕸️💙

With some teamwork between Dad and Spidey, we spun a little magic web to guide Andrew into the operatory. He was hesitant to sit in the dental chair… so we offered it to Spider-Man instead. 🦷🪑

Once we pulled out a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss to “brush Spider-Man’s teeth,” Andrew lit up! ✨ He even asked for gloves so he could help. Soon, Dentist Andrew was in full PPE, scrubbing sugar bugs off Spider-Man’s teeth like a pro. 🧼🦸‍♂️🧤

After Spidey’s oral health was fully addressed, Andrew proudly climbed into the chair for his own cleaning and X-rays—then told his dad: “I can’t wait to come back again!” 😄🦷

From his early days practicing medicine in Elko, NV, to over 20 years as a beloved faculty member at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and dedicating countless years to serving children and families at Nevada Health Centers, Dr. Denton has touched the lives of so many since beginning his career in 1985. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️❤️

We are deeply grateful for his unwavering dedication, kindness, and compassion as a trusted pediatrician. His commitment to bringing quality healthcare to Nevadans has made a lasting difference in our community.

✨ “Milagros, translated from Spanish, means ‘Miracle.’” That’s what her mom told us as we welcomed their 13-year-old daughter onto our mobile dental unit. 🚌🦷

Milagros uses a wheelchair due to Spina Bifida, and as her dad prepared to carry her up the stairs, we let them know: no need—we’ve got a lift! ♿💪

With care and compassion, our team used the chair lift and completed her dental exam right on board. Her parents were so grateful for the accessible, thoughtful care their daughter received.

💙 Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. Everyone deserves a healthy smile—and a little miracle now and then. 😊💫
