Stop the Roundups!

Watch video to find out how many taxpayer dollars are spent every year to round up and remove wild horses from their natural habitat.

Starting July 1st, the 2024 summer roundup season begins. This is the largest wild horse and b***o roundup season of the year, coming right on the heels of foaling season.

In Wyoming, Nevada, Utah, California, Oregon, and Colorado, 11,114 wild horses and b***os will be captured during this summer alone. This critical period, running through the end of September, accounts for more than half of all horses and b***os rounded up this year.

These roundups threaten the safety of our wild herds and tear families apart. Summer should be a time of freedom and bonding for these animals, not trauma and captivity.

There is a better way. Help us protect America's wild horses and b***os by supporting in-the-wild conservation. Now is the time to stop the roundups.

Please share this video with your network to spread the word!

Do you want to see the Adoption Incentive and Sale programs end to stop the fast turnover to slaughter?

Wild Horse Education (WHE) is litigating these issues, right now.

You can take action, too. READ MORE: https://wildhorsewarrior.org/your-voice-is-their-voice/

Thank You for Believing in the Impossible!

The "Pancake case," filed in January of 2022, has finally concluded with a big win for our wild ones.

The courts have affirmed that the Wild Horse and B***o Act is about more than just removal. This precedent setting ruling affirms that BLM has unreasonably delayed creating management plans. Herd Management Area Plans (HMAP) have been ignored for decades as BLM simply creates removal plans instead. The HMAP is where management goals and objectives and the steps that will be taken to achieve them are supposed to be set. The HMAP is where all of the things that YOU want to see addressed (numbers on range, forage, fire fuels, genetics, etc.) are supposed to be analyzed and data disclosed.

Critics: Nevada wildlife commission unfairly weighted to favor hunter, rancher interests

The Nevada Wildlife Commission’s endorsement Friday of a plan to remove 75% of wild horses and b***os from the state’s public lands, along with its refusal to consider a ban on controversial coyote killing contests, are both out of step with the desires of residents and tourists and could hasten efforts to revamp the board, say critics.

The commission is dominated by hunting and ranching interests under a statutory scheme that requires it to have five “sportsmen,” i.e. hunters, fishermen or trappers who have purchased a license in three of the past four years, one rancher, one farmer, one conservationist, and one member of the public.

The membership makeup, critics say, renders the board ineffective and preoccupied with looking out for ranchers and hunters at the peril of the wildlife it is charged with protecting.
