City of Carrsville, Kentucky "Down By The River Side"

The City of Carrsville, Kentucky is located on the northern end of Livingston County and began as a river town in the 1800's.

Carrsville was incorporated on March 31, 1860. Carrsville was once populated by over 900 people and was a stop for the river boats to pick up and drop off goods and livestock. At one time, Carrsville had several stores, a bank, it own phone office and a hotel. After the 37 flood and two fires, Carrsville's population drop to approximately 60.

Great big Thank You to everyone who helped make the Carrsville fireworks a success last night!! Malana and BrianDukes, Heather and Carl Banning, Hayden Gerding and Kathy(top sales) Belt, Paul Glen Shouse who all work hard to sale tickets for our gun raffle., Paul, Hayden, Brian and Micheal. Dickerson and Alex for setting them off! Crofts, the Carrsville Community Association, Darrel and Shelly and Stevie Hughes, and anyone I may have missed for donations to the fireworks.

I hope everyone who braved the chance of bad weather and can out enjoyed the show.

I know we have storms coming thru but as of right now the future forecast. Is showing them being past here around 7 tonight. So as of now the fireworks are still on so come out and eat till the storms are past and enjoy the show

Dont' forget the Carrsville City Commission will be having fireworks down by the landing at dusk June 27th!!!.

Looks like the rain will be moving out and very slight chance by that time

The Carrsville Community Center will start selling food at 6:00 pm.
Come out and eat before the show!!
