Holy Sews DFW is actively serving hospitals throughout Texas, offering to provide a special layette to their patients who have experienced a loss of an infant during gestational weeks 16-25. These babies are usually about 7-10 inches long and weigh only a few ounces to 2 pounds —too small for even preemie size gowns. The layette consists of a small blanket, a hooded wrap with a matching tunic, a c
ap, a tiny teddy bear and a keepsake card. The layettes are provided at no charge to the hospital or the families. They are given from the hearts and loving hands of our volunteers who want to show grieving parents that God is faithful and that people (even people they don’t know) care about them and their babies. We are currently providing layettes to hospitals in the following Texas counties, with additional hospitals and counties being added every month: Bexar, Bosque, Bowie, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Ellis, Erath, Galveston, Grayson, Gregg, Harris, Henderson, Hill, Hood, Hopkins, Hunt, Jack, Johnson, Lamar, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Rusk, Smith, Tarrant, Titus, Wichita, Williamson, Wise, and Wood. If you don't see your county listed, let us know and we'll be happy to get some layettes to hospitals in your area!
