Author Nancy Golden of Carrollton has some great news to share. “Exciting day today 🥳 Growing Up with Eddie is now available on Amazon in Kindle and paperback! If you are looking for a heartwarming and fun read that brings you back to a simpler time, you'll want to check it out”:

Remember those idyllic summers of your childhood, exploring your hometown on your bicycle with friends, spending your days crawdad fishing in the local creek, doing cannonballs at the community swimming pool, and chasing fireflies and playing tag with the other kids on your street in the evenings...

Sharing for Lauren Woods:
I grew up in Carrollton, Texas (R.L. Turner, class of 2000), and I'm back in town this Saturday on book tour for my first book, a short story collection that won a book prize and centers on girlhood, motherhood, divorce, and difficult relationships. I'll be speaking at the Prestonwood Town Center Barnes & Noble this Saturday, 11/1. If any of your members would like to come out to the event, and/or if the group would ever be interested in reading it or speaking about creative writing, I'd be honored! More about the event is here. Thanks for considering.

Join us for an in-store event, Lauren Woods Speaking & Signing, on Saturday, November 01, 2025.

Are you coming Friday night, 10-24? We are a meeting a week early at 6pm at Pizzarella to discuss We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer.

Please bring a question about the book that you would like to ask the group.

We will also talk about a holiday-themed book suggestion for December.
