Exercise is a great way to stay regulated, especially for children, teens, and adult adults with ADHD and anxiety

Once out of routine or habit, it’s really hard to get back in however, give yourself permission to stop if you’re not filling it after you get started

It helps with frustration tolerance, rumination, and ongoing chatter in one’s head,

Exercise builds confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth

I believe in “practicing what I preach” and “walking the talk”. Exercise is another form of self-care

Reading about writing!

Writing down the the bones: freeing the writer within -Natalie Goldberg

Writing is therapeutic. Research shows putting pen to paper is the best way.

When thoughts and emotions stay “in your head,” they can feel overwhelming, circular, or hard to understand.

Natalie says “to begin writing from our pain eventually engenders compassion for our small and groping lives”

Instead of being the feeling, you can observe it. This shift alone can reduce emotional intensity and increase clarity.
