The “Fall Covers for Spring Savings" Cover Crop Premium Discount Program Pre-Enrollment Period starts Wednesday, December 3, at 8 AM CST. To fill out the application, you will need your FSA-578 handy.

This year’s program features a newly updated application. We strongly recommend reviewing the new format and requirements during the pre-enrollment period so you’re fully prepared for submittal day.

Just a reminder applications are selected on a first-come, first-served basis, so the pre-enrollment period will be helpful for those needing more time to fill out the application.

The Greene County Soil & Water Conservation District will receive funding which allows us to offer cost-share incentives to area landowners.

We will be accepting applications from February 3, 2025 to February 14, 2025 for the construction of conservation practices including but not limited to tiling, dry dams, etc.

A field visit will be made by technical staff, and project will be prioritized using the mandatory prioritization system designed by IDOA.

We had a meeting online today with more than 100 Soil & Water Conservation District employees who will be organizing local work groups this and each of the next two years. Trying to get the word from farmers and landowners to USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service on what clean water and healthy soil priorities should be in watersheds throughout the state.
