City Station

City Station City Station is a project 4 years in the making. In February of 2014, Shannon attended a conference in Lafayette, Indiana.

City Station is a Community Center open every day of the week, offering open gym hours, spaces for meetings and parties, a game room with indoor playground and public restrooms. When Shannon Lovelady stepped in as the Lead Pastor of Southern Hill Christian Church in 2013, he had an idea for something more than just a church building and began sharing the vision with the Elders. th West, a community center which houses a gymnasium, preschool, meeting spaces, fitness center, café, and college student housing. What sets this community center apart is that it is owned and operated by the church. Here, Shannon saw something greater for Carrollton. In November 2014, Shannon returned to Faith West along with individuals from the church and community to share what God had put in his heart. Returning to Georgia, a team was created of community leaders and church members to thoroughly investigate the viability of a project like this in our area. In November 2015 the SoHills family committed to giving $1 million towards the City Station project and we reached that goal in December 2016. With the financial backing of the church, the Solomon Foundation, and generous community members, on March 26, 2017 we broke ground for City Station! Shortly after, Ra-Lin began construction and we can't wait to see how this project impacts the Carrollton community!
