After 23 years of service to families in North Texas, Dallas Furniture Bank has closed its doors effective immediately. At this time, the closure is indefinite, though it is possible that we may reopen in the future if circumstances allow.
This decision was not made lightly. A series of challenges converged, including reduced capacity among several of our partner agencies due to changes at the federal level, the loss of our affordable facility space, increased rent costs, and a tightening of philanthropic funding. Despite our staff and board working tirelessly to find solutions, we no longer have the resources to continue operations at this time.
Your partnership has been an essential part of our journey. With your support, Dallas Furniture Bank was able to provide tens of thousands of families with the dignity and comfort of a furnished home. That impact will endure long after our doors have closed, and we are profoundly grateful for the role you played in making it possible.
