The Carroll County Honor Flight to Washington, D. C. occurred on August 26. It was provided by Impact West GA, many contributions from businesses, nonprofit and civic organizations, and individuals. The veterans flew to D.C. via Delta to tour war memorials, Arlington Cemetery, and dine in The Capitol building, as well as on the plane. The Pilot Club of Carrollton and Impact West Georgia hosted a reception with gifts on the veterans’ return.

Kathy Gore, kidney donor, and Doris Wyatt, recipient, are members of the Pilot Club of Carrollton.

There are moments in life that take your breath away, and last night was one of them.

For the first time, Doris Wyatt met the woman who gave her a second chance at life, Kathy Gore.

A moment filled with emotion, gratitude, and the kind of connection that reminds us what this mission is all about. Lives are changed. Families are restored. Hope becomes real.

This is why we do what we do. 💚
