We’re asking residents to take a few minutes to complete our community survey and tell us what you think about walking, biking, connectivity, and opportunities for improvement throughout Carroll County.

The feedback we receive will help shape both immediate and long-term projects designed to create safer places to walk and bike in our community.

🚜 ISO: A Local Farm and Agriculture Guide!

The Young Leaders Institute is planning its annual Agriculture Day on September 25, and we’re looking for a local farm to host our students and someone willing to serve as their guide.

For more than 15 years, CCCDC has worked with local juniors and seniors through the Young Leaders Institute. Each year, our junior class participates in five “Professional Days,” introducing students to career pathways and opportunities available within our community.

If you own a farm—or know someone who may be interested in hosting—please send me a private message. We would love to showcase local agriculture and the people who make it possible!

🌿 Building the trail—and bridging the gap!

Today, CCCDC had the opportunity to work alongside the Trail Association of Carroll County, General Butler State Resort Park, and a great group of volunteers from Dow Chemical to begin clearing the trail that will connect to our new pedestrian bridge.

The team removed debris, shrubs, fallen trees, broken limbs, and other obstructions to prepare the trail for construction. While today’s work was only the first step, it plays an important role in the larger vision for the project.

With the pedestrian bridge scheduled to be installed later this year, this trail will help create a new connection between General Butler State Resort Park and the surrounding community—expanding recreational opportunities and strengthening Carroll County’s growing trail network.

Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and helped move this project forward. This is what community partnership looks like!

We’re proud to share that CCCDC Executive Director Bill Lewis has been selected as a member of the inaugural Leadership 71 Class of 2026–2027!

This program brings together leaders from across the I-71 Corridor to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen the future of our region. We’re excited to bring those experiences and partnerships back to Carroll County as we continue creating opportunities for our community.

Congratulations to all 26 organizations and leaders selected for the inaugural class. We look forward to working alongside each of you to strengthen the I-71 Corridor.

Where Vision Meets Opportunity.

Today, the Kentucky I-71 Economic Development Alliance is proud to introduce the inaugural 2026-2027 class of Leadership 71!!

This exceptional cohort brings together leaders representing 26 organizations and 23 industry and community sectors across Carroll, Gallatin, Henry, Oldham, Owen and Trimble counties.

Over the coming months, class members will explore the opportunities, challenges and resources shaping the I-71 corridor; engage with leaders throughout the region; strengthen their leadership skills; and build relationships that reach beyond county and organizational lines.

Their Leadership 71 experience begins September 9th with our State of the I-71 Corridor session and continues through a series of regional sessions focused on economic development, education, healthcare, infrastructure, government, quality of life and other issues affecting the future of our communities.

Please join us in congratulating the inaugural Leadership 71 class! We are excited to see the relationships, ideas and regional impact that will grow from this remarkable group of leaders.
