Carroll County SWCD had the honor of hosting the 2026 MACD North Area Summer Meeting. The meeting was held at Beulah Land Sporting Lodge with lunch catered by By the Bridge Bistro. Thank you to Carroll County Circuit Clerk, Durward Stanton, for doing our welcome speech and to John Mark Curtis with Quail Forever, for being our main speaker. Thank you to all those that were in attendance and to everyone that helped with the planning and preparation of this meeting.

Carroll Academy 2nd-6th grade students recently participated in the MACD Poster Contest. This year's theme was "Soil, where it all begins." For the 2nd-3rd grade category,1st place- Bayleigh Floyd , 2nd place- Blair Long, and 3rd place- Rhett Long. For the 4th-6th grade category, 1st place- Brenna Long and 2nd place- Braxtyn Joiner. Every student that participated did a wonderful job on their posters. I have added pictures of everyone's artwork for viewing. Carroll County SWCD would like to thank all the students for their participation and their teachers for encouraging them to participate. Good luck to the 1st place winners as they move on to the area contest.
