One that, whether we realize it or not, could one day be used in our obituary.

If you have been following us for awhile, you may remember the Speelman Family.

Last year, Courtney Speelman tragically lost her life in a car accident leaving behind her young daughter Kaylan. From this loss and legacy we have created our Butterfly Blessings in their honor for children who have lost a mom or dad.

As Courtney’s family anticipates the one year anniversary of her passing, they have built a beautiful garden in her memory. They call this “turning graves into gardens” and they are asking for help filling this beautiful space for Kaylan and all of Courtney’s loved ones to cherish.

This Memorial Day, HCITM pauses to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country.

Freedom was not free- it was paid for with courage, sacrifice, and lives that will never be forgotten. Today we hold close the families who carry that loss every single day, and we say thank you in a way words will never fully capture.

As we gather with our loved ones, grill out, laugh, and enjoy the day, may we also take a moment of silence to remember the heroes behind it all.

Gone but never forgotten. 🕊️

This year at our “Rounding Bases Raising Hope” softball tournament, we will have a Memory Table set up at the field.

This space is for anyone who wants to honor and remember someone they carry with them - loved ones who are no longer here but are still a part of why we show up, play, and support each other.

You’re welcome to bring:
• Photos
• Names written on cards
• Small mementos
• Anything meaningful you’d like to place there

It will be a simple, quiet space to pause, reflect, and remember in the middle of a day built around community, softball, and support.

Because some of the people we play for will always be with us 💛🥎
