What is the Carroll County Nest?
The Carroll County Nest is a rewards program that provides encouragement for parents. You will receive points for:

Early and regular prenatal care and regular well child visits.
Participation in activities that increase healthy behaviors.
Continued learning about various topics related to pregnancy, infant care, and parenting.
Appropriate use of community services.
There is no cost to join this program. Families can remain in the program until baby turns three years of age.

Carroll County Nest Opportunities include:

Prenatal doctor visits
Postpartum doctor visits
Childbirth education counseling
WIC
Breastfeeding
Home visits
Continued education
Immunizations
Parenting classes
Well baby visits
Items available may include: diapers, educational toys, safety items, highchairs, books, pack n’ plays, and feeding supplies. Items change monthly.

Call (712) 794-5623 and ask to speak to the Carroll County Nest Manager.

Or visit Carroll County Nest located within St. Anthony Regional Hospital in the Public & Home Health, Hospice office.

Carroll County Nest is a program funded through United Way, St. Anthony Auxiliary, community donations, and grants.

This quarter the Carroll's Graham Park Band Shell Preservation project was selected as the project we will give to. The Band Shell is over 70 years old and it needs to be preserved for future Carroll citizens to enjoy. Let's make an impact on this wonderful project!!

Please get your checks in by the 5th so we can deliver them this week. So far we are at $2500 so we have a ways to go to hit our normal mark of around $4000. Your generosity is appreciated.

This quarter, the 712 Women on a Mission are supporting a great organization with a fun initiative. The RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) conducts a Pen Pal program with 3rd grade students annually. During the school year, volunteers are paired up with a 3rd grader and they write five letters to their student throughout the year, and receive letters back from the students. This program encourages letter writing, grammar and communication skills to young students, who are excited to be receiving 'mail'. This year there are 215 area students who will be enjoying this program. The women of 712 will be supporting the program with their donations by providing the supplies needed for writing the letters: paper, envelopes and postage.
