Last weekend the Troop headed to Antietam National Battlefield for a cycling campout, and it did not disappoint.

The Scouts biked through the historic battlefield, fueled up with a well-earned ice cream stop 🍦, and knocked out some serious progress toward their Cycling Merit Badge. And if that wasn't enough, they joined forces with 3 other troops for an epic game of capture the flag! 🏳️

Beautiful weather, great company, and a weekend full of memories. This is what Scouting is all about! 🌟

While one group of Troop 163 Scouts were camping, our Philmont-bound crew was putting in serious miles on the Appalachian Trail 🥾💪.

Third shakedown hike: 10.4 miles with full backpacking packs through the AT Rollercoaster section, with lots of elevation change just like Philmont Scout Ranch mountains will dish out. The hard work paid off with a stunning view at Ravens Rock overlook. ⛰️

These Scouts are ready for an epic summer adventure. We can't wait! 🌟

🏕️ It was a busy weekend for Troop 163! While one group was out on the trail hiking, another was enjoying a two-night spring campout at Camp Rock Enon Scout Reservation.

From brand-new Scouts who just bridged over from Cub Scouts all the way to high schoolers mentoring the younger ones, that's Scouting in action! 🤝 On the agenda: r***e shooting 🎯, orienteering 🧭, and core Scout skills. The Scouts came prepared, rain gear was packed and rain gear was needed. Soggy smiles all around. 😄
