With such heavy hearts tonight, we send our most sincere condolences & prayers to the entire Sweeten family, friends and community for such a heatbreaking loss of a great kid! Blake was a kind and respectful young man. He was one of our OYJ Memorial Scholarship recipients and The first “O” day Sand Volleyball Champ, the first to so excitedly pick up his one of a kind championship OYJ ring, and a kid who played basketball throughout the years with my brother.
My heart hurts for the sister who has lost her only little brother and best friend, As a daughter who has watched her parents go through such grief losing their only son, and as a mother who could not fathom the loss of a child… So sorry 🙏🏽
I pray so strongly for you all tonight and always💔 May you find strength in such difficult days ahead 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The OYJ Memorial Organization held our annual cemetery cleanup last Saturday Oct. 18 just prior to Dia de Los Mu***os & Homecoming with a goal of helping improve our cemeteries with trash/ brush pickup as well as cutting the grass, with those community celebrations in mind.
I’d like to thank everyone who continues to support these events and my family in memory of Omar Ybarra Jr. Thanks to all those who continue to show up, take the time out of your busy schedules or contribute in any way. It does not go unnoticed.
Thank you to these volunteers pictured who contributed hours in the heat to cleaning up!!
It takes some special people willing to show up and put in the hard labor! Thanks: Natalie Hernandez (who came home from college to put in a day in the hot sun), Carmine Perez, Leticia,Ethan & Em Cadena, Christian, Lyanna, Dallas, my mom & dad (Sheila & Omar Ybarra), Mando, John Paul Salazar, & Mary Cardenas Martinez.

Our 4th Annual OYJ Memorial Cemetery Cleanup is set for Saturday Oct 18, 2025.
Volunteers needed-Community service hours-
All Donations welcome. (Water, gatorade, trash bags, gloves etc.)
Bring your w**d eaters, rakes etc.
Please go out and volunteer your time even if it’s just your own family’s section or a small section.. anything helps.
* CSHS seniors interested in scholarship are encouraged to participate.

My family and I would like to extend an invite to friends and family who’d like to join us on Saturday September 27 at 7pm for a small gathering, blessing and prayer in remembrance of my little brother, as his memorial stone will finally be placed in his honor at his resting place at Mt Hope Cemetery 🤍
If you knew and loved Omar Ybarra Jr. and would like to show up, feel free to do so, the prayer is not just closed off to family. No personal invite necessary.
Wear our newest black memorial shirts if possible. I still have a lot of them that haven’t been picked up yet.

Although the event we had planned for the weekend of July 20th will not go on due to a delay in the completion of the monument… 😭
The new OYJ shirts are in but I cannot pick them up until all the remaining payments have been submitted, most communicated to me that they submitted, but if you have not please let me know.
I have all orders listed and I submitted everyone’s order.
