Junior 4-H Dairy Judging: Foster County was the only county in the state to field a full junior team this year. Although there wasn't much competition, the team members did an outstanding job evaluating dairy cattle at the state contest yesterday. They have a bright future!

Junior Beef Producers Workshop is back June 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Carrington Research Extension Center in Carrington, North Dakota.

The workshop is open to youth ages 10-16 and will provide a full day of hands-on learning opportunities focused on the beef industry. I will be at the Portland Junior Crop Scout School educating youth on soybean plant population! This is a very educational, hands-on, and fun event. Participants will learn about w**d ID, insect ID, soybean and corn population, why our soil is so important for crop production, and so much more. 🌾🌽

The 2026 Project Showcase for Eddy & Foster Counties will be held on June 2 at 4:00 pm in the Eddy County Extension Office in New Rockford. Project Showcase will include both the Clothing R***e and Project Expo. 4-H families, please check your emails for detailed information.
