📚✨ Join us as we celebrate the launch of the Indigenous Little Library! ✨📚

📅 September 21, 2024
🕒 2 PM
📍 228 SW 25th St, OKC, OK 73109

Author Kim Rogers will be joining us to read her wonderful book, "I Am Osage," and you're encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to donate. As a thank you, you'll be entered into a raffle for a Reader’s Gift Basket. We'll have plenty of snacks and drinks for you to enjoy, plus fun crafts for everyone to take part in.
This community event is in collaboration with Matriarch, an intertribal organization promoting healing and empowering Indigenous women, Two Spirit, and non-binary relatives through intergenerational, collective, and Indigenous wisdom. All are welcome to join, so come be part of something meaningful!

The Indigenous Little Library has been made possible by a generous donation from Little Free Library and Heartdrum, an imprint of HarperCollins Children’s Books that specializes in publishing works by North American Indigenous authors.

Lisa Fruichantie “As an adult I have had the privilege to embrace my own culture and find balance between the influences that shaped me and the roots of my heritage. Reuniting with my family, my own tribe - especially through art, dance, music and language - has healed my sense of belonging. My art work now finds that balance in nodding to tradition, cultivating the new and being content with the current.”
••
Elizabeth Starks (Shiwi / Diné) is a cultural technologist and artist. Her work focuses on creating and using tools for empowerment of Indigenous communities through collaborative design processes.
