Our goal was to raise $50,000 and right now we have met 70% of our goal. We have yet to factor in our cash donations, but we know we'll need a little more to reach our goal. It was a beautiful day for the Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk. More than 264 people walked in solidarity with our neighbors who are food insecure.

Thank you to everyone who made this event a success, especially the amazing planning committee.

We are saddened by the passing of Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk Planning Committee member and longtime volunteer, Mae McLendon. It was an honor and joy to work alongside her in the fight to end hunger.

Mae McLendon, a longtime public figure in Chapel Hill and Carrboro politics and volunteer organizations, passed away at the age of 76.

Guess what, CROP walkers?! Fleet Feet Carrboro is doing an awesome thing at this year's CROP Walk! On walk day, there will be a free raffle for all walkers to participate in. 4 lucky folks will be stepping off with gift cards to this beloved local store!!! So plan to be at the walk on Sunday, March 22. Registration begins 1:30pm, the program (and raffle drawing) at 2:00pm, step off time 2:30pm. We can't wait!
