In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us for a special Carpinteria Woman’s Club meeting on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 pm featuring author and historian Lorissa Rinehart.

Lorissa will speak about her book Winning the Earthquake, the inspiring story of Jeannette Rankin, who defied the odds to become the first woman in Congress. Her story opens up a powerful conversation about women’s history, politics, war, and peace, and what it takes to lead with courage.

We’re excited to welcome The Heart of Gold Charitable Foundation, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in Carpinteria in 2025 that hosts a monthly Pop-Up Thrift Store to support creative arts scholarships, clothing assistance for local families, and sustainability.

👕 Please bring clean clothing donations (any size!) to support their mission.

This Alcazar Theatre benefit will be a bittersweet show for both South on Linden and The Youngsters. Our beloved brother, Dave Durflinger, bassist for both bands, is moving away from the area and this will be our last show with him. We are very happy for him and his dear wife, Trish, as they embark on their next, exciting stage of life. They have been such a vital part of our band families as well as the Carpinteria Community at large. We will miss them greatly.
