Juneteenth is both a celebration and a reminder — a day to honor freedom, reflect on history, and recognize the ongoing work of building a more equitable future.
At Girls Inc. of Carpinteria, we believe learning about history helps girls better understand the world around them and their role in shaping what comes next. When girls are given space to ask questions, hear different stories, and recognize the contributions of those who came before them, they grow into more informed, compassionate, and confident leaders.
Today, we celebrate freedom, honor Black history and culture, and continue our commitment to creating spaces where every girl has the opportunity to thrive.
