TAILS OF HOPE IS BACK!

When: Sunday Sept. 20, 2-5pm
Where: Rancho La Patera & Stow House, Goleta CA

Join us for an amazing afternoon where you will have fun and Santa Barbara County‘s animals will benefit!

Celebrity emcees John Corbett (“Sex & the City,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”), Bo Derek (“10”) and Shorty Rossi (“Pitboss”) will welcome you to a live program that follows an afternoon of wine, beer, tasty nibbles; a silent auction; music and bubbles from The Bubble Guy”; tarot card readings; smooches from adoptable shelter dogs; and visits to our rescue partner booths.

All proceeds go to help the thousands of animals cared for by Santa Barbara County Animal Services each year. Animal Services is responsible for ALL animal welfare in SB County. Their three shelters care for 6000+ stray and abandoned animals each year (dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, chickens and much more!); their officers respond to needs in the community, investigating cruelty complaints, assisting animals in need, and responding to natural disasters.

Tails of Hope is hosted by the Santa Barbara County Animal Care Foundation, which raises money to support Animal Services’ many programs throughout the county.
Donations are tax deductible.
Sponsorships and tickets are available at www.sbcanimalcare.org/tailsofhope

The new and highly anticipated book, “DOGS of MONTE VISTA PARK” is out and will be available on July 25th/26th at the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Art Center in the Koch courtyard! We’ll be there from 10-3 and you can pick up your copy for a minimum donation of $30 for the paperback and $40 for the hard cover version. There will be other C-DOG merchandise as well. This is the official launch of the book and a continuation of our fundraising efforts for the new park. And while you’re there you can admire some of the chalk artist’s work during the annual Chalk Walk Festival.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, emailed, and wrote letters to the City of Carpinteria’s Architectural Review Board in support of the newly designed Monte Vista Dog Park!

We have a few more hurdles to jump over before breaking ground. We will keep you updated!

In the meantime, please keep up the momentum and remember to bark for the park by donating to our capital campaign! Every barking dollar moves us closer to opening the gates!

The Architectural Review Board has given its approval for the expansion of the Monte Vista Dog Park into a permanent facility. The proposed plan for the park includes separate areas for large and small dogs, new landscaping and fencing, and running water. The park will be paid for by a combination of grants and private donations in a partnership between the city and the dog owners group C-Dog. Local news and more at carpinteriavalleyradio.com.

C-DOG was a proud sponsor at Carpinteria’s Earth Day event, which took place at the Art Center last Saturday. Our team participated in a creative initiative, crafting dog toys from recycled t-shirts and tennis balls using basic tools such as scissors and manual dexterity.

We are eager to participate again next year and invite pet owners to share their DIY dog toy ideas with us or post pictures on our platform. Remember to prioritize sustainability by up-cycling, recycling, and repurposing materials.

Hello local C-DOGers! Meet us at the Earth Day event this Saturday at the LFCAC from 12-4. We need a few more human hands to help make dog toys out of recycled materials. Hope to see you there!
