Debra and Ronnie held there monthly dinner special, surf and turf,rib eye steak, grilled shrimp, salad and a big Ole baked potato and crazy good deserts.

Rumor has it they served over 80 meals.
My sincerest appreciation to Debra/Ronnie and there crack team of cooks, servers, clean up personal and everyone in between.

Post 129 American legion riders attending the 2nd annual blueberry festival run.

Six riders and one supporter, good time had by all. After the ride we attended and sang happy birthday to one of our own Chris (money) Tardio who turned 75 years young!
Sorry I forgot to get the photo but everyone enjoyed the day.

A generous donation by an anonymous post member. We really needed a new grill for our Monday night hamburger special.
And thanks to this thoughtful restricted donation of a grill we are back in business.

Veterans - the New Hanover County Service Officer will be in the Pavillion on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 9am to noon.
If you, family members, or friends need assistance with VA benefits please stop by for a visit. The Service Officer can assist with filing VA claims, explaining dependent qualifications, and also has the ability to sign the North Carolina MVR-33A (Military/Veteran's Registration Plate Application) for NC Disabled Veteran license plates.

Great short story following Flag Day. A reminder to how much 'more' the flag means to veterans who have served this nation! This story hit me and I wanted to share it with others! Thanks Legion.org

When I was 19 years old, I raised my right hand and swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States. At the time, the American flag meant something to me, but in truth, I didn’t yet understand the depth of its meaning.

Post 129 American Legion’s Flag Day for Kids went to the beach yesterday, and it was a HOT🥵 and windy one! Several boys & girls stopped in to learn American Flag history, enjoy a snack and paint a flag on a seashell.
Huge thanks to Marlene, Dianne, Edie, Roni and Michelle for their extraordinary support and enthusiasm.

Post 129 today (June 14th), celebrated the Army's 251st birthday. Our oldest army veteran James Gilbert and the youngest (and former Post 129 Commander) Tab Bryant cutting the Army birthday cakes.
I would like to thank my first Vice Mac MacDonald for organizing our first of the Department of War anniversary events for 2026. Hoorah Army!
