Season’s Greetings! We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. Thanks to the incredible support and generosity we receive from so many of you through the Carolina Beach Blueliners Foundation, several families in our community were able to enjoy a happy holiday season.

We were also honored to partner with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office to provide gifts for a deserving local family.

The CB Blueliners Foundation had a smokin’ good time this past weekend at The Island Men’s Backyard BBQ Cookoff! We proudly brought home 2nd Place in the Judges’ Choice and also earned a special “Pork-ticular” Award.

Huge shout-out to Lt. Sonny Russell and Scott Butters, who spent all night tending the smoker and putting in the hours to slow cook the pork to perfection. Their dedication (and Sonny Ray the Sauce Man's award-winning recipe) made it all possible.

Big thanks to everyone who came out to support, taste, and cheer! Great food, great cause, and great company — we’re already fired up for next year!🔥

The Carolina Beach Police Department is proud to recognize Corporal Tyler Chase on achieving his Advanced Law Enforcement Certification from the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.

The Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate is the highest level of professional certification issued by the Commission to police officers who have completed the required years of service, professional training and continuing education.

Ashley High School will be hosting First Responders Night at the baseball game against New Hanover on Friday, March 21. Come out and show support for first responders around the community...and bring some noise to The Nest! JV game starts at 4:00 PM and Varsity game starts at 6:30 PM.

Also, a portion of proceeds from the concession stand will be donated to the CB Blueliners!

The Carolina Beach Police Department would like to congratulate Detective Nick Tice for being recognized by the United States Secret Service National Computer Forensics Institute, where he is ranked #10 in the United States out of over 3,800 digital examiners. In just 2024 alone, Detective Tice conducted over 1,400 digital examinations for a variety of crimes including violent crimes, property crimes and crimes against children. Detective Tice works tirelessly to provide the most highly technical services to our community to reveal evidence to support the Carolina Beach Police Department and over 65 other law enforcement agencies in North Carolina and South Carolina. This is the third year in a row Detective Tice has been ranked in the Top 50 Examiners in the country (2023 Ranked #11 and 2022 Ranked #45).
