Our dear employee Michelle experienced a challenging and emotional day on her birthday yesterday. She had to evacuate her boyfriend’s home on West Stoner Lake, along with his daughter, McKenna, and their three pets due to a devastating fire.
While Michelle stayed there and lost many of her belongings, her boyfriend Mike and his daughter McKenna have suffered the greatest loss. Thankfully, everyone is safe, but the first few days and weeks after such a tragedy are often the most difficult.
Mike and McKenna are currently without basic necessities, and their three dogs are also in need of care. If you’re able to help with any of the items listed below, including puppy food, it would mean the world to them.

Mike:
- Shoe Size: 10 1/2 (Men’s)
- Pants Size: 32 x 30 (Men’s)
- Shirt/Hoodie/Jacket Size: Large to Extra Large (Men’s)
McKenna:
- Shoe Size: 5 1/2 (Girls')
- Clothing: Women's Small or Girls' Size 16-18 (Pants and Shirts)
- School Supplies: Backpacks, notebooks, binders, pens, pencils, highlighters, folders, a calculator, and any other school essentials
🙏 OTHER ESSENTIAL ITEMS 🙏
Clothing - Undergarments, socks, shoes, and outerwear suitable for the current weather
Toiletries - Toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and other personal care items
Pet Supplies - Pet food, bowls, leashes, and any other needs for their three dogs
Household Essentials - Towels, laundry detergent, basic kitchenware (such as plates, cups, and utensils)
Gift Cards - To stores like Walmart, Target, or local grocery stores to allow the family to purchase specific items they need
Monetary Donations - Nothing is too small

👉 Donations can be dropped off at the Caroga Lakeview Store or the Pleasant Lake Inn restaurant, and they will be delivered directly to Michelle and her loved ones who have lost everything.
