Exchange Club of Caro

Exchange Club of Caro The Exchange Club came about in 1911 as a way to "exchange" community based information. Exchange is “America’s Service Club”.

Exchange Clubs sponsor activities under the organization’s Programs of Service – Americanism, Youth Programs and Community Service – as well as its National Project, the prevention of child abuse. Each year, communities benefit from the promotion of pride in our great country, college scholarships, youth mentoring, service to the underprivileged, and other services tailored to serve the needs of i

ts citizens. In addition to these programs, The National Exchange Club has been at the forefront of significant developments in American history, including the early days of aviation progress. The spirit of patriotism, along with a desire to heighten awareness of our rich religious heritage, placed Exchange in a position of leadership with other organizations that led to the addition of the words “Under God” to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954. From the organization’s earliest days, Exchange Clubs have been unselfishly serving their communities and improving the quality of life. The diverse array of Exchange-sponsored programs and projects has made a considerable impact on America, enhancing the lives of countless men, women and children across the nation.

April is Child Abuse Prevention month nationwide to raise awareness and remind people of the problem.
The main goal of Exchange Clubs across the US is to fight child abuse. To that end our trail walk held every August, is our main fundraiser and the reason we are able to donate to such a fine organization as the Child Advocacy Center in our county. Here are their statistics, which are sad, but show the amazing service they provide.
The CAC sees potential victims of: Sexual/physical abuse; human trafficking; child po*******hy; witness to domestic violence; illegal drugs in the home.

Since 2013 the CAC has provided services for over 2040 children and additional family members
Kids Have Rights-body awareness curriculum provides lessons on how to protect children from perpetrators to 2175 pre - kindergarten to 3rd grade students in the 9 school districts of Tuscola County along with training for over 129 teachers 3 principals and 1 school board member for this school year 24-25.

The CAC provides travel costs, food, clothing, personal hygiene products, blankets, backpacks and books.
Medical/Mental health services, advocacy support.

There is never a cost for any of these services provided by the CAC.
