📚 Did you know about the Braille and Talking Book Library (BTBL)?

Accessible reading materials are available through BTBL for anyone with a visual, physical, or reading disability that makes it difficult to comfortably read a print book.

One important thing to know: BTBL does not require a specific medical diagnosis for eligibility. Patrons simply need to identify on the application that they have a visual, physical, or reading disability. The application does require certification, but the certification does not have to come from a doctor.

If you’re not sure who can certify an application, reach out to your local library! Library staff are able to certify applications, as are social workers, caregivers, staff at senior care facilities, and others who are familiar with the patron’s needs.

📖 And the collection is AMAZING! BTBL has more than 390,000 items, including fiction and nonfiction across a wide variety of genres. New publications are typically available within just a few months.
