Congratulations Jamie and the team!

We want to give a huge thank you to Marc Milburn and the entire Milburn family for their amazing generosity and continued support over the years. We are once again astonished and so grateful for having such amazing community members.

Today is Kate's last day at the Cooperative as she looks to a retirement well earned. She's been with us for seven years and before that another seventeen with Rawson Memorial District Library. Thank you Senator Lauwers, Ed Smith, and the Library of Michigan for the recognition!

Members of the Cooperative and fellow librarians are going to miss her warm, kind spirit, brilliant intellect, and steadfast support of libraries and librarians everywhere. We are all better for her work in the field and are grateful to have worked alongside her.

An absolutely amazing White Pine Annual Meeting! It was a great day of interesting and educational programming with awesome librarians, engaging presenters, and a beautiful venue!

Many thanks to Adam Oster from the Library of Michigan, Tarek Sasy from the Michigan State Police Cyber Command Center, Katie Rothley from Northville District Library, and author Aaron Spencer.

Also a big thank you to our sponsors: Knights Insurance Agency, Follett, Michigan Class, Ingram, Library Ideas, Hoopla, and Overdrive.

And I would be remiss if I didn’t call out the Board, Christian and Alison for the special surprises along the way! You are ALL incredible!! ❤️

We have the best Cooperative! 🤩📚

Rest in power, Gloria Steinem.

She understood that librarians do more than connect us with books. They democratize knowledge, protect our inner lives, and make freedom possible.

Access to information is power. Reading the books others want banned is an act of resistance.

Honor Gloria’s legacy. Read her work. Support libraries and independent bookstores. Keep fighting for equal rights and the freedom to know.
