Jeff is scouring the country by bicycle in search of volunteer drivers to help people get to their life-saving treatments through the American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program.

“I was looking for a volunteer opportunity that would allow me to have a direct impact on people’s lives, while also providing flexibility in terms of my time commitment,” stated volunteer driver George Brush. “Road To Recovery was – and is – the perfect fit!”

Signing up to be a driver in 2023, George has already clocked over 300 rides. He has also helped to recruit new drivers and works with them as they begin their volunteer journey.

“There is really so much enjoyment that comes from being a volunteer driver,” he noted. “I love meeting new people and am humbled by how thankful they are for me being able to get them to their cancer treatments. Going through treatment is stressful enough without the added stress of not knowing how to get there.”
