I want to take a moment to share what I’ve been going through lately. The past few weeks have been incredibly challenging for me, filled with many tests, stress, and the weight of feeling overwhelmed. For about a month now, I’ve been dealing with severe swelling in my left breast, and just two weeks ago, I began having pain in the breast. At first, I thought it might just be fluid retention from dialysis, but I quickly realized that wasn't the case.

Hearing about any type of breast pain, especially during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, naturally raises concerns about breast cancer. After going to Cooper Hospital and feeling unheard and neglected, it was a tough experience, especially because I go there for everything. My mom didn't like the response and was worried about me, so she took the initiative to bring me to Inspira Hospital in Mullica Hill, NJ, for a second opinion.

We’re still waiting for results from several important tests, including a breast and lymph node biopsy. However, the doctors have identified a blockage in the breast area from one of the Catscans which they believe is contributing to the swelling and pain. They’ve scheduled a small procedure for Wednesday to go in and try to fix this blockage.

While there’s still uncertainty surrounding the possibility of cancer, I’m truly grateful to be moving toward some answers. Thank you all for your support during this difficult time; it means the world to me. Your kindness and love truly lift my spirits. 🩷🙏🏾💜🙏🏾
