Our delegates are a crucial link in the chain of communication between the District Council leadership and members working in the field. They report back on union finances, iniatives, and upcoming events. With a couple vacancies in Local 6, brothers Brenton Ayers and Matt Pistorius stepped up to be the conduit between union staff and the members they represent. Congrats on being sworn in brothers!

College football season is here! Our Dc 57 members spent the offseason renovating Beaver Stadium. If you make it out to a Pitt or Penn State game this season, you’re enjoying a football game in a stadium that union labor built. Enjoy the season!

With most Western Pennsylvania’s school districts returning to class, we wanted to highlight our members’ craftsmanship at the brand new Bethel Park Elementary school! All of our trades worked hard on this new building, and chances are DC 57 members worked on the schools in your district as well. If you’ve got kids in school, make sure you point out the hard work and skill that lays the foundation a great learning experience.

BM/ST Brian Herbinko with a couple quick updates in the midst of a busy season for members and staff! We appreciate all members’ patience as we continue to move forward with our healthcare transition. WEX cards are active and reimbursements are progressing. We hope to see everyone at their local Labor Day parades and at the general membership meeting on 9/19. Enjoy the weekend, brothers and sisters!

State Representative and union teacher Jen Mazzocco stopped by today for a training center tour and discussion on how the state can help the building trades. Always a pleasure hosting an elected official who is also a card-carrying union member!
