"We don’t “own” a “pet”. We are “guardians” of “companion animals”.Philip Wollen OAM; (1950 - ) Founder of Winsome Constance Kindness
(318)

We spay/neuter, nurse back to health, vaccinate, HW test, micro chip (includes activation) and love the companions until a home can be found. We are a small rural rescue in the middle of a low income community. Donations are few and far between so donations are greatly appreciated. Our adoption fees are $125.00 and up. Your adoption fee goes back into to the funds to continue saving animals.

He came to us in absolute misery, in excruciating pain, covered in that terrible skin condition—and even then, when he had every reason in the world to distrust people, he trusted my hands. He never growled at me. Never tried to hurt me. I cared for him through the worst of it, and now look at him. ❤️

Duke doesn’t need to know the whole philosophy behind rescue. He just knows that when he was hurting, we showed up.

And now he’s apparently appointed himself head of security.
Treat Dealer Protection Services, Duke Division. 😂❤️

The American Kennel Club and the Mastiff Club of America both describe them as calm, gentle, and deeply devoted. Protective without being aggressive, with a strong sense of loyalty and patience. Which fits Duke’s story beautifully.

We’re schnoodling with excitement! Meet Rocket and Roxie Marie, two adorable Schnoodle puppies searching for their forever families. They will make their public debut at our PetSmart Adoption Event on Saturday, September 19th. Beginning September 9th, they’ll also be available for offsite adoptions, so you don’t have to wait until the event to meet them. Adoption applications are now open. Please private message the Rainbow Bridge Can Wait page to start the process. Because life’s better with a little Schnoodle.

Today, I left our PetSmart adoption event frustrated. This is the second time someone has brought puppies to sell during an event meant for homeless companions. Our adoption events exist to help homeless animals find loving permanent homes. Every companion adopted through Rainbow Bridge Can Wait has been examined by a veterinarian, is vaccinated, and is already spayed or neutered before adoption. Before purchasing or adopting any companion, ask questions, request veterinary records, ask what care has been provided and make an informed decision. Every day, shelters and rescues are overflowing with wonderful companions waiting for a second chance. If we truly want to reduce pet overpopulation, we have to be part of the solution. Thank you to everyone who came out today to support. Rainbow Bridge Can Wait and the homeless companions we work so hard to save.
