Hi! I’m Ms. Amanda and I’m excited to be joining Mosaic Montessori as a substitute teacher this year!

I am a graduate of Washington State University and have a degree in Human Development and Psychology. I have spent many years teaching preschool and kindergarten and working with children and families in a variety of ways. I have wanted to be a teacher since I can remember and I feel lucky to be able to teach your children!

I live right here in the Snoqualmie Valley and when I’m not in the classroom I enjoy gardening, camping, reading, and spending time with three cats, dog and husband.

We’re excited to be a Certified Private School for another year!

At Mosaic Montessori, we’re proud to create an educational experience that goes beyond the basics. We’re committed to meeting high academic standards while staying true to what makes Mosaic special: hands-on learning, meaningful connections, time in nature, and an environment where each child is encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Maintaining our certification is just one more way we continue to grow, learn, and hold ourselves to a high standard for the families who trust us with their children. 🌿

Here’s to another wonderful year of learning at Mosaic!

🌈 Hi there,

I’m Ash Owen-Kachikis (Ms. O-K), and I’m excited to be back at Mosaic Montessori to enter my tenth year as a teacher.

Prior to my time at Mosaic Montessori I worked as a special educator/ IEP case manager in some of Redmond, WA’s public elementary schools. I supported in a variety of classrooms: self-contained classrooms, resource room classrooms, and an inclusion pilot program.

I credit my decision to pursue the field of education from the many years I worked with the SeriousFun Children’s Network. The mission of the network is to ā€œempower children with serious illnesses and their families to reimagine what is possible by creating inclusive camp and recreational experiences, inspiring confidence and joy, and building community and connectionā€.

I hold two teaching certifications in Washington State, elementary education and special education.

I am currently working with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) to become a Certified Montessori Sports Practitioner.

I grew up right here in the Valley, attending the local school district for grades K-12. My little family moved to my hometown a few years ago when we bought our first house. Mr. O-K is also a local school teacher and Lou, our kiddo, was fortunate to be at Mosaic with me the last 2.5 years building a steady foundation. He is beginning his journey this year at Carnation Elementary, where I am an alumni.

Our little family spends a majority of our leisure time being goat farmers (and then some!) as well as spending time with both our extended families which live nearby.

I’m Eleanor Lindenmayer and I’m excited to be taking the next steps in my early childhood education journey with Mosaic. I was born and raised in Washington and have always been passionate about exploring and preserving our stunning natural landscape. Though I majored in Journalism at Knox College in Galesburg Illinois I discovered the joy of working with young children at a local summer camp. That turned into teaching ski school in the winter and I am so excited to make the transition to Montessori Education. As someone with many neurodivergent family members and friends I was drawn to Mosaic’s inclusive focus and hope I can help support each child in the way that best suits them. I hope this position is the start to a long career in education.

In my free time I love to hike with my dog, ski with my family, sing with Crossroads Community Choir, and row crew with the Sammamish Rowing Association. At home I read a lot of books, crochet, and try out new GF baking recipes.

I’m Amany Hasan, and I’m excited to join the Mosaic Montessori community as the Lead Guide in the Primary classroom.

My Montessori journey began about ten years ago when my daughter joined her first Montessori classroom. Watching her grow in independence and confidence sparked my curiosity about the Montessori approach and inspired me to pursue my AMS Early Childhood credential at the Montessori Institute of the Pacific Northwest, which I completed in 2020. Since then, I have continued to deepen my practice and appreciation for the Montessori philosophy.

I was born and raised in Egypt and have been living in the United States for the past 15 years. Before moving into education, I studied Computer Engineering. My path into Montessori has been a meaningful journey, and I feel grateful to work in an environment where children are respected as capable, curious learners and supported in developing at their own pace.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time in nature, playing board games, listening to music, and hosting fun gatherings with my daughter. I look forward to getting to know the children and families at Mosaic and supporting each child as they grow in confidence, independence, and a love of learning in ways that honor their individuality.
