William Owino Ongoro was living alone in Ombeyi, Kenya. His wife had left after his memory lapses became too much to bear, and hypertension was wearing him down.

No one was checking in.

Then LOMAMO's team showed up. Within two weeks, things started to shift: nutrition support, a health care plan, someone willing to sit with him through his marital struggles.

He gave his life to Christ and received a Bible in his own language. When the team brought him a mattress, he said he couldn't believe his eyes.

Now his joint pain and dizziness are fading and his smile tells the rest of the story.

Wwe may have just witnessed one of the greatest comebacks of all time!! ⚽️ 💪

While over 5 billion people watch the World Cup for goals and last-second wins, a different comeback has been quietly unfolding in Manyatta Slums, Kisumu, Kenya.

A few months ago, Antony weighed 92 pounds. He was in the fight of his life, and some days, just getting through it felt like a victory. But he chose to keep fighting.

Our team walked with him every step: weekly nutritional support, medical care, treatment monitoring, health education, and someone checking in on how he was doing emotionally.

Today, Antony weighs 108 pounds. Fifteen pounds might sound like just a number. To Antony, it's fifteen pounds of resilience, of answered prayers, of proof that life is winning again.

You don't need a scale to see the difference. Look at that smile.

Look at that arm he's so proud to flex, not for a competition, but because after everything he's been through, he finally has something worth flexing.

Three missionaries from California. Dozens of patients in Kenyan hospital wards. One mission: to bring the love of Christ to those who are sick, vulnerable, and in danger of being forgotten.

During this hospital visit, the LOMAMO team prayed with patients, encouraged the weak, provided practical support, and reminded each person that they are seen, loved, and not alone.

But the need is still great. Many sick patients in this area still need someone to advocate for them, help them reach the hospital, provide food and medical support, and stand with them in prayer.

From isolation to hope 💛

Just weeks ago, William Owino Ongoro was facing life alone in Ombeyi battling hypertension, memory lapses, exhaustion, and deep discouragement. What seemed impossible, even something as simple as a mattress, became a life-changing gift through LOMAMO’s care.

Within two weeks, William received nutrition support, healthcare, encouragement, and a double mattress that restored comfort and dignity to his daily life. But even more than that, he experienced the love of Christ in action, gave his life to Jesus, and received a Luo Bible.

When the Homa Bay office opened in January, our team didn't have their vehicle yet. Delays kept pushing the date. So they rented motorcycles because the families who needed care couldn't wait.
At the end of March, the vehicle finally arrived.
You made this happen. Almost two years of faithfulness, patience, and prayer. A new office. A team that refused to slow down. And now, a vehicle that gives them the reach to match their heart for this work.
God's timing is still good. Your faithfulness bore fruit.
