Why We’re Swinging Together 🏌️‍♂️

At our 20-week anatomy scan, our world changed. Our son, Noah, was diagnosed with spina bifida. At just 23 weeks, he underwent delicate fetal surgery to repair his spine—an option that only a small number of families even qualify for. Spina bifida is often called the “snowflake condition” because no two cases are the same, and the challenges each child faces can vary widely. Along with his spinal defect, Noah was also diagnosed with Chiari II malformation and hydrocephalus—conditions commonly associated with spina bifida that affect how the brain and spinal cord develop and function.

And yet, we are incredibly fortunate. Noah faces obstacles, but he runs, jumps, and plays. He hasn’t needed brain surgery. He has sensation and independence that doctors once told us might not be possible. His journey reminds us every single day just how complex—and how unpredictable—this condition can be.

He is our why.
He is why we started Mulligan Madness.
He is why we are committed to giving back to a community that often goes unseen and underfunded.

Spina bifida is one of the most common birth defects in the United States, affecting approximately 1,500–2,000 babies every year, and nearly 166,000 people are living with it today. Behind those numbers are families navigating lifelong medical care, therapies, equipment, and uncertainty.

We swing together to support them.
We swing together to raise awareness.
And most importantly, we swing together so that every family facing a spina bifida diagnosis has the resources, support, and hope they deserve.

🌟 We Did It! 🌟
Because of our incredible community, we raised $12,731 for the Spina Bifida Association on August 2nd! 💛

Originally, my goal was to raise $10,000. I honestly wasn’t sure if we’d even get close! We not only got close, but we exceeded it by more than I could have imagined!!!!

I’m literally crying tears of joy writing this check to the SBA! 🥹
