Join us this Memorial Day Weekend for the much anticipated premiere of the Hometown Hero Banner program for Carmel ME!!! 🥳🎉

We will be meeting outside of the Carmel Town Office for a 10:00 am reveal of the first of many banners to be installed through the Village and the main road!

Feel free to stop by the Golden Harvest Grange around 11:00 am for a Hot Dog BBQ to celebrate the Hometown Hero Banners and to remember those we are honoring this weekend 🇺🇸

A very special thank you to the incredible teams at the Hermon Camden National Bank and Danforth's Down Home Supermarket for their generous donations towards the program and BBQ 🙏

Looking forward to seeing everyone there tomorrow!!

Welcome to the Hometown Hero Banner Program for our neighbors of Carmel ME! Hosted by your local West Penobscot Post 107 American Legion Auxiliary!

Please read the Guidelines to determine eligibility & fill out an Application to purchase a banner for your local Veteran in your life. All banners will be on display in Spring 2026 (likely the month of May, weather permitting).

Contact us via Facebook Messenger on this page, or on the West Penobscot Post 107 American Legion Auxiliary page with any questions. Mailing address can be found on the application.

We are excited to show our support for our Veterans with multiple banners already to be installed within our town! Thank you to all those who have donated towards the Hometown Hero Banner Program, we appreciate your generosity!
