Nice work KES fourth graders!

Shout out to the hard working 4th grade students at Kent Elementary School for dropping off 261 used eyeglasses to Raymond Opticians of Carmel! 👓 🤩

Raymond Opticians of Carmel partners with the Carmel-Kent Lions Club to collect and redistribute old eyeglasses.

Each month the 4th grade classes at Kent Elementary School participate in a Day of Caring. For the month of January, the students in Chris Livulpi, Cathleen Rossetti, and Nancy Faccilonga's classes spearheaded a school-wide collection of used eyeglasses. The students presented to all of the classes at KES and explained how refractive errors can be easily corrected with eyeglasses, yet millions of people world-wide lack access to basic eye care services. They shared the importance of asking family and friends to donate eyeglasses that were no longer being used. They were able to collect 261 pairs of eyeglasses to donate to those in need!

We are so proud to be part of this incredible project!
