Long before Brother J. Michael Bishop (Gettysburg, ’57) became a Nobel Prize-winning scientist and a 1990 recipient of Lambda Chi Alpha’s Order of Achievement, he and Brother Bob Schultz (Gettysburg, ’57) were already putting principle into action.

As undergraduates, the two helped advocate for an Honor Code at Gettysburg College built on trust and responsibility. They also traveled to Lambda Chi Alpha’s 24th General Assembly in 1954, where they challenged the Fraternity’s policy at the time excluding Black members.

Their story, recently shared by Gettysburg College, is a reminder that governing yourself by principle means being willing to stand for what you believe is right, even when that means challenging the institutions you care about.

Lambda Chi Alpha mourns the passing of Brother Bill Rasmussen (DePauw, '54), the innovative spirit behind ESPN.

Recognized with the Lambda Chi Alpha Order of Achievement in 2001, Bill's journey of building a sports empire from the ground up is a powerful testament to a life governed by character and clear principles. His legacy reminds us all that true leadership is rooted in the values we carry into the world every day.

A first for the Midwest Territory. 👏

On Friday, Iota-Epsilon Zeta at Indiana State University hosted the first-ever Midwest Territory CORE training, with CORE Trainer Greg Stephens working alongside Collegiate Brothers and Alumni Advisors.

The best part? The Brothers didn't just learn—they put the training into action, building a recruitment plan they'll use as recruitment begins this week.

With 20 volunteer CORE Trainers supporting Chapters across the Midwest, this is just the beginning.
