Behind every Folds of Honor scholarship is a student with a story of resilience, determination, and hope for the future. ๐บ๐ธ
For Katelyn, an English major at UCLA, that story includes a love for literature, dreams of becoming an author, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
When her father's terminal cancer diagnosis worsened, Katelyn made the difficult decision to pause her college experience and return home to become his primary caregiver.
Despite the challenges, she continues to look toward the future with hope and determination.
In a letter to Folds of Honor donors, Katelyn shared:
"Your generosity is life-changing... I promise to one day pay it forward."
Stories like Katelyn's remind us why our mission matters.
Thanks to generous supporters, our national Fund the Unfunded campaign has already surpassed its initial goal of funding 20 scholarships. But there are still deserving students waiting for support.
Together, we can help even more military and first responder families pursue their educational dreams.
