Monterey Co. Sheriff's Advisory Council

Monterey Co. Sheriff's Advisory Council The Monterey County Sheriff’s Advisory Council (SAC) is a non-profit, 501c3 public benefit organization providing funding for the Office of the Sheriff.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Advisory Council enables Monterey County law enforcement with the equipment and training needed, regardless of the Sheriff Department’s budget. The Monterey County Sheriff's Office will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new Re-Entry Resource Center. The event will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday October 23rd, 2025, at 1412 Natividad Road in Salinas, California. It will be immediately followed by a job and resource fair that will continue until 1:00PM. This event is open to the public.
The Monterey County Sheriff’s Re-Entry Resource Center is a new initiative dedicated to empowering individuals and their families as they transition back into our community from incarceration. This center will serve as a hub for support, guidance, and opportunity, helping to build safer and stronger pathways for reintegration. This is a key part of our commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and reducing recidivism rates within our community.
To mark this important milestone, we will also be hosting a job & resource fair immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony. This job and resource fair will connect attendees with local employers, service providers, and community partners offering valuable resources and employment opportunities.
This event symbolizes our shared commitment to second chances and community well-being. We hope you will join us as we celebrate this meaningful step forward for Monterey County.
