The Carmel High School TechHOUNDS is a student-led robotics team that grows technology, leadership, and outreach in our team and community through participation in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). Each year, the team competes in the FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC) with over 3000 other teams across the world to design and build a robot to play a given game. Through this intense yet rewarding process, TechHOUNDS is able to provide its members with real-world experience in engineering, product development, cooperation, and gracious professionalism. With over 100 student members and 20 mentors, TechHOUNDS is also heavily involved in the community, giving several demonstrations, teaching at elementary schools, and hosting large-scale events like the Women in Technology Workshop.
