The Coxhall Guild would like to thank everyone who participated in our second annual Kite Festival and made it such a success, especially the Hoosier Kiteflier's Society, Professor Steve, Gita Kapur, Division Chief John Moriarty and the Carmel Fire Department, Deputy Sadie Sequin from the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Penny Lane VW Photo Bus and Liz Bedwell and Reed Nelson for taking such amazing photos of our event. We also want to thank the Hamilton County Parks and Recreation staff who worked behind the scenes to help make our event possible.

We saw thousands of happy faces and hundreds of kites in the sky. This event was a wonderful opportunity for the Coxhall Guild to give to the community and bring families out to the park on a beautiful day. Save the date: We are already planning our third annual Kite Festival for April 2027. We plan to have more kites, more activities and more fun to make our next event even better.

The Kite Festival is only one week away! Come meet Division Chief John F. Moriarty, the Community Liaison Officer for the City of Carmel Fire Department next to the food truck lot. Kids will have the chance to explore a real firetruck up close, sparking their imagination and interest in fire safety. Chief Moriarty will also provide valuable fire prevention, health, and safety literature, along with fun giveaways to take home. Don’t miss this chance to learn and engage with your local fire department in a fun and interactive setting!
