Anniversary alert! Today, on April 13, 1870, New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art opened its doors to the public.

Speaking of museums, did you know that the Friends of Kent Library sponsor and fund the museum passes available for reservation at the Kent Public Library? It’s just one of the many wonderful ways the Friends support both the library and the community!

Don't forget to drop by the Book Nook, open everyday during regular library business hours, and the Book Cellar, open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12noon-4pm, and while here, drop by the circulation desk to reserve a museum pass!

Celebrate "National Drop Everything and Read Day" (D.E.A.R. Day) with the Friends of Kent Library by dropping everything and heading to our Book Cellar sale, running today from 10am-2pm.

Our Book Cellar is the perfect place to discover hidden gems, beloved classics, and page-turning favorites. So go ahead, pause your day, pick up a book, and spring into a new story!

BOOK DONATIONS NOW BEING ACCEPTED!

As a reminder, our donation guidelines are as follows:

-Clean and gently used hardcover paperback books for children, adults, and teens, along with Audiobooks, DVDs, and CDs are all accepted!

- Items should be smoke-free, mold-free and generally in good condition.

-All books are community donated (no library books are included).

-We do not accept toys or games.

-Please note that magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, VHS tapes, audio-cassettes, condensed books, and library discards will not be accepted as donations.

-The donation bin is located outside up the ramp at the back entrance to the library.
