✨Grant Recipient Spotlight: Michael✨
Meet our latest Light for Levi Foundation Grant Recipient, 8-year-old Michael from Lutz, FL.

“Michael is a joyful and resilient child who brings light to everyone he meets. Born on Thanksgiving Day in 2017, he is truly our miracle. Before he was born, Michael experienced a stroke in utero, which resulted in left-sided weakness and limited use of his left arm and hand. His diagnosis came at three months old, marking the beginning of a journey defined by strength, determination, and unwavering love.
Since then, Michael has been deeply engaged in therapy. He began physical therapy shortly after diagnosis, added occupational therapy at six months old, and speech therapy at eleven months. Today, at eight years old, he participates in eight therapy sessions each week and continues to make meaningful progress.
Michael is nonverbal and communicates using an AAC device, along with approximations and expressive nonverbal communication. His personality shines through in everything he does—he loves celebrations, enjoys watching cars go by, and his favorite place in the world is Walt Disney World, especially the Winnie the Pooh ride.
Grant funding would be used to support intensive therapy with his occupational therapist. This intensive will help Michael build greater independence and expand his ability to engage with the world around him.”

We are honored to be part of your journey and help with the cost of intensive therapy to support your goals of greater independence and engaging with the world around you.💛

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible moms, grandmas, caregivers, and mother figures who pour endless love, strength, and compassion into their families each and every day. 💛

Today, we especially honor the mothers walking difficult journeys — advocating, caregiving, sacrificing, and showing up with unwavering love even on the hardest days. Your strength often goes unseen, but it never goes unnoticed.

At the Light for Levi Foundation, we are inspired daily by the resilience and dedication of mothers who continue to be a light for their children and for others.

We hope today brings you moments of peace, joy, and the reminder that you are deeply appreciated and never alone.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the Light for Levi Foundation. ✨

We’re gearing up for another impactful year of fundraising with the Light for Levi Foundation, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. We’re especially looking forward to our two signature events—Hickory Hall Polo on July 31st and our annual golf outing on October 23rd.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, last year was a tremendous success. Together, businesses and individuals helped us raise $80,000, allowing us to continue awarding two $3,500 grants each month to families in need.

Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 so we can continue providing these grants into 2027 and beyond.

We are so grateful for the generosity and commitment that makes this mission possible, and we can’t wait to build on that momentum in the year ahead.

✨ Grant Recipient Spotlight: Brett ✨

We are honored to introduce our next Light for Levi Foundation grant recipient—Brett, a resilient and determined 3-year-old from Rimersburg, PA. 💙

Brett has cerebral palsy caused by bilirubin encephalopathy, which has led to developmental delays. He spent the first six weeks of his life in the NICU and has been working hard ever since. Through Early Intervention and now ongoing outpatient therapies—including speech, physical, occupational, vision, and hearing—Brett continues to make incredible progress.

Outpatient therapy can be a significant financial burden, but thanks to your support, Brett has been awarded a $3,500 grant to attend Now I Can Northeast in Lititz, PA for three weeks of intensive therapy this May/June.

Right now, Brett is able to walk along furniture and uses a crocodile walker with assistance. His goal during this intensive program is to strengthen his core and—hopefully—take independent steps. 💪✨

Your generosity is helping make these milestones possible.

Thank you for being a light for children like Brett and their families. 💛

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month.

Brain injuries can happen at any time, to any family, without warning. We have provided grants to children who have sustained brain injuries from genetic conditions, at birth, from trauma, and from accidents later in life — including car accidents, non-fatal drownings, golf cart accidents, horse riding accidents, tree limbs falling, and even from illnesses like the flu or RSV.

A brain injury instantly and completely turns a family’s world upside down. In a moment, life changes. The injury often results in a lifelong disability that can vary in severity — from needing extra therapies and support, to requiring full lifelong care.

The Light for Levi Foundation is committed to being a light and a source of hope to families affected by brain injury. Because of your support, we are able to come alongside these families through our grant program and remind them they are not alone.

Thank you for supporting the Light for Levi Foundation and helping us continue to be a light in some of life’s darkest moments.

We are so grateful to have been part of the Adaptive Expo this year. It was an incredible day filled with resources, connection, and hope for so many families in the adaptive needs community.

We were thankful for the opportunity to share more about the Light for Levi Foundation, our mission, and our grant program that supports families navigating life after brain injury. Being able to connect face to face, and spread awareness about the support available to families means so much to us.

Thank you to NeuroHope for including us, and to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared your stories, and encouraged our hearts. We are grateful to be part of this amazing community.

Together, we continue to be a light for families walking through some of the hardest days.
