This is an amazing new technology for cleaning our air from CO2. This gives me hope.

UC Berkeley chemists developed a material that absorbs carbon dioxide — a key part of the battle against climate change — but whether it can do this cheaply and at scale remains to be seen.

A friend of the City of Carmel passed away. We honored him by escorting him to City Hall.

A funeral procession for Carmel City Councilor Bruce Kimball traveled through the Central District on Jan. 3 in advance of a private ceremony held at ARN Funeral & Cremation Services. Kimball, who joined the council in 2016, died on Dec. 30 at age 70.

This Spring, with the help of high school students, The Carmel Cleanup Crew distributed just over 1,000 trees. We will do this again next Spring. Our goal is to plant 10,000 trees in Carmel and beyond.
