Carlyle Rotary Club Carlyle Rotary Club is about Service above Self

We meet every Tuesday at 12:00, usually at the Old 50 Café at 870 Franklin Street across from the courthouse.

But, due to the pandemic, we are meeting via Zoom with virtual meetings. The Carlyle Rotary Club helps to support all of the following excellent causes to name a few:

--Tree of Lights Program
--Rotary Endowed Scholarship at KC
--Friends of Scouting
--Belize Children's Program
--Chakota Therapeutic Horse Ranch
--Local scholarships
--End Polio Now

We also take on a new project every year. In previ

ous years we supported the Chakota Therapeutic Horse Ranch in Germantown, established the Mango foreign language program at the Case-Halstead Public Library, helped the Elementary School teachers buy unfunded school supplies and purchased 100 washable gowns and masks for the Carlyle Healthcare Center staff to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. Our focus in 2021 has been to help purchase an AED, lights blowers and fire sticks to stock up the new Firetruck. If you have any inclination to give back to the Carlyle community in the form of service with your time, please consider joining our club. For over 96 years the club has performed many service projects and donated $1000s of dollars in the form of scholarships and leadership training. The rewards of satisfaction are immense! Attended the Rotary Club of Singer Island today with friends, former IL State Senator Frank Watson and Susan along with local club president Bob and Connie Wilson. An interesting note, the waitress who serves them lunch is from Ukraine. So, the club raised over $1000 the past several weeks to present to her which she said would go for medical supplies to her homeland. Neat!!!
