This is the prettiest mushroom I've ever seen. I had to have my florist friend Gretchen (best florist ever) to find out what it is. It is "Chicken Of The woods". The pictures were taken 2 days apart. It is growing on a stump by the bath house.

Finally get the cabin kitchen cupboard doors painted, we have not had doors since we moved in for the summer. So many other things needed my attention first.
The leaves are starting to turn colors, soon there will be beautiful colored foliage. Great time for a kayak/canoe/boat ride around the lake. Maybe spot the loons or otters, see the eagle soaring.
You should come out and join us.

It's about 72 out with a mix a of sun and clouds here at CGH. There is a group meeting about Operation Christmas Child.
CGH is a great place to hold meetings, wedding/baby showers, Weddings, Bible Studies, Church Service, Family Reunions, or just a group of friends get together.
It hard to imagine but October/November will be here before you know it. Don't forget to pack a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child.

After a fun day of fishing, swimming, visiting, and just taking in nature, I fell asleep to the sounds of the owls hooting, the loons calling each other and Jeremiah (bull frog) and friends talking to each other. You should come pitch a tent and let nature serenade you to sleep. Hands down, it beats the sound of cars driving by and horn honking.
We have tent sites ready and waiting for you. Also 1 site for an RV, and a smaller site for a pop up camper.
