Today is San Angelo Gives. A 24-hour giving day for local San Angelo Nonprofits. The Volunteer Services Council is part of this great event. If you are able, please, take the time to show your support. Our goal is to raise $16,500. This will help fund Holiday cheer, Family Day Picnic, and Unique boutique (clothing room and essential needs for residents). Throughout the day there will be certain times your donation may help the VSC raise more funds. Consider donating during the following times. Thank you for your support.

9am-9:15am donations between $25-$50 are eligible for 100% match until $3000 match has been exhausted.
10am-10:30am 4 organizations receiving the most $ raised.
10:30am-11am 4 organizations receiving at least 1 donation will be randomly selected.
11am-11:30am Most $ raised in each organization size category. We are a small organization
12:30pm-1pm Donations up to $100 are eligible for 100% match until $5000 match has been exhausted.
1:30pm-2pm Organization receiving a donation from a 1st time giver will randomly be selected.
2pm-3pm Most $ raised in each organization category
3:30pm-4pm Organization receiving a donation from a 1st time giver will be randomly selected.
4pm-4:15pm Donation between $25-$50 are eligible for 100% match until $3000 match has been exhausted.
4:30pm-5pm Most $ raised in each organization size category
5:30pm-6pm Donations up to $100 made are eligible for 100% match until $5000 match is exhausted.
6pm-6:30pm Most $ raised to the top 5 organizations

Tomorrow is San Angelo Gives — a 24-hour giving day dedicated to supporting local nonprofits! 💙

The Volunteer Services Council is proud to support the residents of the San Angelo State Supported Living Center, including their participation in Special Olympics.

Through your support, the VSC helps provide meals for athletes during events hosted at the SSLC, along with uniforms and equipment needed to compete. These events mean so much to the residents—they bring joy, confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.

We believe every resident deserves the opportunity to participate, compete, and shine. Your donation helps make that possible.

The VSC helps provide essential, everyday needs that make a big difference—items like underwear, socks, shoes, clothing, bedding, room décor, and school supplies. These are things many of us take for granted, but they help ensure each resident has what they need to feel comfortable, confident, and set up for success.

We are getting ready for San Angelo Gives tomorrow, and we’re excited to share just one of the many ways the Volunteer Services Council makes a difference 💙

Our clothing room, lovingly called the Unique Boutique, is a special place for the residents we serve. It’s stocked year-round with gently used and new clothing and shoes to meet their needs.

Imagine arriving somewhere new with only the clothes you’re wearing. For many residents, the Unique Boutique provides comfort, dignity, and a fresh start. Whether someone is new or simply in need, they can shop the boutique at no cost if they don’t have the means to purchase clothing themselves.

The joy on their faces when they pick out “new-to-them” outfits is something truly special. It’s more than just clothes—it’s confidence, independence, and feeling seen.

Your support during San Angelo Gives helps us keep the Unique Boutique filled and ready for every resident who needs it. Thank you for helping us make a difference! 💫

🎄 Spreading Holiday Cheer, One Tradition at a Time 🎄

The Volunteer Services Council helps make the holiday season truly magical for the residents and staff at the San Angelo State Supported Living Center 💙

Each year, residents and employees come together to participate in the San Angelo Christmas Parade. With a new theme every year, the VSC provides the funds for supplies to create a festive, eye-catching float that everyone can be proud of 🎉

But the cheer doesn’t stop there…

✨ The VSC also decorates a historic building on campus with beautiful Christmas lights and décor, creating a glowing holiday display that residents love to visit and enjoy at night.
✨ We host a special tree lighting ceremony that brings everyone together to celebrate the season.
✨ And throughout the holidays, the VSC helps provide fun, meaningful events that fill hearts with joy and connection.

Because of the Volunteer Services Council, the holidays are brighter, warmer, and full of unforgettable moments for so many ❤️
