🐣🌿 BABY SEASON IS HERE! 🌿🐣

Spring and summer mean baby wildlife is beginning to appear everywhere! While these little ones may look abandoned, many are actually being cared for by their parents nearby.

If you find a baby animal:🦉 Please leave it alone and watch from a distance to see if the parents return unless the baby is clearly sick or injured.

🪺 If possible, place the baby back into its nest if the nest is safely reachable.

📦 If the nest cannot be reached, place the baby in a small box or container and secure it safely in a nearby branch close to where it was found so the parents can continue caring for it.

⚠️ If the baby appears abandoned, injured, weak, cold, or sick:• Place it in a box lined with a towel or soft rag• Keep it in a dark, quiet place away from pets and children• Do NOT attempt to feed or give water

📞 Then contact us immediately at 575-689-6711 for guidance.

Thank you for helping us protect New Mexico’s native wildlife during baby season! 💚
