One of the great things about Carlsbad? Its mild, consistent weather.🌤️
The NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships span two consecutive weeks, with 30 teams and six individual qualifiers in each championship. Add coaches, families, fans, volunteers, and tournament staff, and weather delays become an enormous challenge for both competition and logistics.
Carlsbad’s climate is a meaningful advantage. May and June average daily highs of approximately 68°F and 70°F, with average monthly rainfall of just 0.28 and 0.06 inches.*
That combination of mild temperatures and historically low rainfall is one of the many reasons we’re working to establish a permanent, neutral home for college golf at Omni La Costa.
